TO THE EDITOR. i- >lß,— Will yo.; kind I v insert these few •***•■ lines in -our widely circulated paper for the benefit *>f whoever it may concern. have a child who has been a__.efed with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, j* mall reddish spots appeared in the race, about the size ef a pin's head. Of cvurse. a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and bead' were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, ioinis and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, often jr,ade him worse. In ue-uair I looked npon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September i'-,st the child was shown to Dr Spkeb, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five days* treatment, sm -ill strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months" treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under Dr Spree's care, as he declares it will _ta_e some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not be forgotten to add that tlie medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs which' always was tht case in -previous treatments. So I can confi dentiy alvise anyone who should be s-*---unfortunate as to require medical aid, to call on Dr Speer for advice.— lam, Ac, A.. A^vDEK&ON. Johnson ville, 23rd Jauuary, 18>8.
