Klj{ ) _Will you V'indly insert these few linos in your widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it may concern. 1 have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in- the tace, ab..ut the size ef a pin's head. Of course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until fare and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, join's and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of r.o use, but often made him worse. In de>pair I looked UDon the doctors as useless beings of the community.- On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spekb, now residing in Wellington. On looking at "him for a mmute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as ,a man ofgreat skill can do. After the first five days' treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less, than a month the skin was clean ; two inbnthaa wonderful improvement on the body. AFter four months' treatment there only Temains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under l)r Spebb's care, as he declares it will, take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not. had the least unpleasant effect on the internal orenns, which always was the case in. previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, to c,U on Dr Spb» (or "j^&fgfa, Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888.
