'3 Jiftve a child who has been affl-cted peiili an obstinate skin disease of a most 'icj:iug nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, v u »ali reddish S)>ots appeared in the tace, ab.ait the size ef a pin's head.. Of -coiirse, a medical m.in was applied to, but it sieariiv increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joins and all fl>shy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, bni oftnn made him worse. In despair I looked linon llie doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September last ihe child was, shown to Dr Spree, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at ihe root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After^he first five days - treatment, sin ill strips of healthy skin . hecame visible; in less th?m a "month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderfui improvement on the body. After four months* treatment there only remains a few marks on his leg* -and wrists. The child is still under Dr Speeb's care, as he declares it will take sooie time jet to entirely remove it from his system. It mu-t also not be forgotten to add that tl.e medicines . have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case in previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, to call on Dr Skikb for advice.— lam, ke , A. A>DERSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January, 18S8.
