TO THK EDITOR. < 'IB,— Will you l«rnd!y insert these few lines in your widely circulated paper for the benefitof n hoever it may concern. I have a child who has been afflicted witn an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts r small reddisß spots appeared in the tace, about the size of a pin's head. Of course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased uniil face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joins and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often made him worse. In despair I looked npon the doctors as useless beings of the, community. On the 1 7th of September last the child was shown to Dr Sprkb, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five -days* treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible ; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two monthsa wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The "child is still under 3)r Speeb's care, as he declares it will take some rime jet to entirely remove it from hi^sysiern. It must nlso not be forgotten to'add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect oa the internal orenns, which always was the case in previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, to call on Dr Speeb for .'idvice.— Jam, &c , A. ANDERSON.
