Whisker, Muriro, Biggin, and J: Bartholomew, with a bevy of young lady., asßißtanta. "... A very large number sat down to tea, including members of - various other denominations, and visitors from -a; distance. The chuich wa« prettily decoratad witii, ferns, and flowers. The business transacted. at the meeting in the evening consisted of various Church Reports aU- of which ihdioaied Bubstautial' progress, spin- •. tually and financially. After disposing of routine business the Revs. Gordon, Murray, Gaustad, and Treadweli' delivered addresses, and the', 'dhoij?, Under Mr Dowling*s leadership, sang several beautiful hymns and anthems. Special reference was made to the leader of the choir, the ladies who so well and cheerfully provided the rioh ! store of good thinesj to the de- ■ parture of one of the: organists; ' Mr : ; Treadwell's addresa was an earnest and eloquent appeal for abstinence r andefor prohibition^ the principles oorf r which he now intends to inculcate in every possible way.
