Thomas and Co. report a general dullness in all descriptions of grain, as the impending prices for the new crops %re rumour,ed as opening at lower values than those now quoted. We hope to bein a posilion to note prices of this, season's oats and wheat in our next weekly report. .Meantime we give ruling quoiatibris for* old stocks: — Flour, roller, £9 15s, stone £9 5s to £9 h-sperton; fowls' wheat, 3a to 3s 6d, according to quality'; bran £3; pollard,- £ 3 10 per ton; short milling Jda ts," 2s to 2s 2d ; common to fairlieed ditto, Is lOd to 2s per bushel; oatmeal, £9 5s to £9 10s ; feed barley, 28 9d; maize, 4b; beans, 3s 9d; peas, 3s 9d ; onions. £7 per ton ; potatoes, £3 10 to £4 10s; cheese, of good factory make, none other being saleable, 4£d per lb ; old samples, from Id; hams and bacon, 7^d per lb; farmei s J <Hre, from 3d per lb ; eg«s are a trifle firmer, although still com* oiauding lOd per dozen ; fresh butter, sd; salt do, 5d perlb.- A wave, of activity has passed over the fruit market, in consejuence of supplies up to 'this week being fo scant. Arrivals, however, from Melbou ne, Sydney, Hobart, arid Fiji, have compete y filled all requirements, and prices have assumed a lower tend* n;y For the past few days prices for all lines ruled high, but we look for a decrease in auction realisations during the coming -week for plums, apples and pears. Inquiries for poultry are few, fowls ruling at 2s r 6d; ducks 3s 61, geese 5s 6d, and turkeys 7s per pair.
