" ; - p , iThe Wharf Jjabourers' Union and the Stevedores' Association are at loggerheads. The former are insisting on being allowed to. discharge steamships, as well as receive cargo on the wharves. The Stevedores' Association have supplied men to do both classes of 'work, and further complications are expected. The cancelled notes which were recently stolen are not being circulated now. The Victorian loan which is about to be placed in the market, is the last instalment of the six millions authorised.'
