STEYENS AND GORTON'S STOOK ' EEPOET.
Bulls, December 31. Our last two sales, at Feilding and Awahuri, went off very well the entries wore large and most of the stock was sold. Cattle remained at former rates, but sheep were m greater demand. We quote : — Cattle. — Awahuri: Fat bullocks, £5 5/- ; 3to 3£-year steers, £4 ; 2to 2£year steers, £2 16/-; mixed, £2 11/-; year mixed, 23/- to 25/-. Feildiag : Fat cows, £3 10/-; milkers, £2 to £2 6/6; forward cows, £3 to £3 3/- ; year and 18---month steers, 28/6 to 34/- ; year and 18---month heifers 2if- . Sheep.— Awahuri : Woolly wethers, 11/9; shorn store wethers, 6/7; shorn fat ewes, 6/5. Feilding: Ewes with lambs, 6/4 to 8/4 ; 2-tooth mixed, 6/- to | 6/6 ; 4 and 6-tooth wethers, 7/- to 7/2.
