George Thomas and Co. report pro--' duce prices : — Consequent on thi» week closing the current month, busfness has been entirely of a retail character, and no. transaction of any note has occurred. The market still - remains bare of onions, and unless the Hauroto, from Sydney brings a supply we see no available stocks until the spring product is promoted. Newpotatoes are ruling at ldperlb, which price is giving dissatisfaction to theshippers at Onehunga, who state that l£d to l&d is obtained in the Auckland market ; we may hare next week to report an advance on present rates Competition is keen in the flour trade* between the respective millers, and although values are unaltered, a degree of weakness pervades present quotations, which stand at L 9 10s for stone and LlO 5s for roller process. The season for sale of large parcels of bran and pollard is over, and business is almost stagnant; we quote bran L 3 10s and pollard L 4 ; fowls' wheat has usual inquiry with a somewhat improved supply ; quotations rule from 3s 6d to 3s lOd per bushel. Oatsare unchanged, and valued at Is lOd for long feed, and 2s 2d for milling: grain; feed barley, 2s 9d to 2s 10dj? maize, 8s 8d to 3s lOd per bushel; oatmeal, L 9 lOd ; honey, 4d per lb ; fresh butter, 6d for prime, and 4d for fair parcels ; salt ditto, Id to 3d per lb; cheese, 3d to 4£d; hams and bacon (farmers' cure), 2d to 4d ; factory do, 6Jd to 7d. Poultry is inquired for,, and fowls are fully worth 3s 6&;ducks> 4s 6d; geese, 6s 6d; and turkeys, 8c per pair. Eggs command 9d to lOd, according to condition. The fruit market has been, entirely without supplies, and for Sydney shipments on* Tuesday next a fine demand should W experienced. Bhubard is ruling at 5* 6d per dox.
