The session commenced rather stormily last night. There was a scene on the question of privilege, raised by Mr Melville, and Sir Henry Parkes admitted that an error had been committed in publishing certain newspaper articles in a book issued from the Government printing office with a report of speeches at Vumer Graci by the Premier' to ceter brate the introduction of Responsible Goyernment lif the Colony. The railway report for last year shows that the railways are not paying interest on capital, and that, the tramways are paying less than 4 per cent. A special audit discloses systematic frauds in the building surveyor's office of the Corporation. It has been going on some time unchecked. The chief clerk in the department has been suspended; [ Great efforts are being made to induce the Government to have the locomotives required constructed in the colony. A quantity of butter has been sent Home by the Orizaba specially selected, aid the best that the colony can produce. Mklboubnb, September 19. A Bill granting £4000 to Peter Lalor has passed the Assembly. ; A young named Webb, son of Captain Webb, of Brighton, has shot himself.
