Stpnet, September 24. ,A. frightful accident happened at this afternoon to Bobert Elliott, who was mixing material in Warden's store for a torchlight to fee used jfco-night, £bfl material exploded, folowing off thg man's left hand, and tearing away all the skin from his prm, fracturing his leg, and burning #11 his face and hair. A. piece of the pot penetrated the sole of his foot, and another piece of the iron was forced through both sides of an iron , cage into a bag of sugar.
