; \OVB. OWN (boHBESPOSTDENT.3 The lambing season: in this district promises to be nhusually good this year, seyeral of the, sheep farmers reckoning on considerably over one hundred per went, increase. The contractors for building the upper Kiwi tea bridge lon Mackay's Line, Messrs Younger.. and Laing, have nearly ;eompleted the work which, will be a great boon to the settlers living on the upper side of the stream. Hitherto they have had to trespass on their neighbors land in getting iv or out of their own home» steads. In this connection I may remark in passing that settlers ' wishing to erect a cheap but serviceable bridge should have a look at one lately erected by Mr Buchanan at May fields It is made of sixteen wires with twelve inch boards for the foot path and answers in every way the intention of the builder. Settlement iall around ns is progressing .steadily while the industry ahjd well directed energy °f the people located in our neighborhood is a safe and sure guarantee that Beacon* field will not be far behind in the race for success. .. -.[
