A girl named Martin a waitress in a boarding house here, was found insenible yesterday, apparently suffering from the effects of poison. It is intended to light the new Gorernment printing office with electricity. The case in which the Law Society of Wellington are preceding against Mr B. N. Sandelands solicitor, of Carterton, for the non-payment of fees alleged to be due to that body, was again before the Banco Court this morning. On the application of counsel for Mr Saundelands, the case was further adjourned for a week. Auckland, August 10. Detective Herbert, who was sent to Melbourne, to bring over to Aucklandd Mr Forward on a charge of larceny as a bailee, returned from Melbourne yesterday. It appears that the journey to Auckland at the present season of the year in Mr Forward's state of health would prove hazardous if not fatal, and the case is thus at a standstill till his health permits the voyage.
