The West Australian, ' of [ svly/23M. says : — Our' correspondent ' ; at Der tjy sends us by telegraph the following important information aboutJthe finjd at Kimberley.. He , says : Splendid news has, been received from the goldfields, especially in reference to the reefs at Mount Dockerell. An old man named Donald is reported by Slattery aad others to have three sacks of specimens which, it is V believed,, contains about a hundredweight or gbld. One man got forty ounces of alluvial gold out of one: pocket in ft very short, time. - There are alluvial workings also on the Panton. The other reefs at Hall's Gully and Brockman are shewing well. Mr Hall has just returned from an extensive prospecting tour from the fields. He travelled to the north and west to the head of Prince Regent and Gleneld Rivers, and so on the Leopold, Ranges to Derby. From the fact that the color was obtained on the tributary gullies of the Barker River he; calls much of that country auriferous/ Two or three small parties are at work on the Richenda. Hall describes the country he has passed through on the other side of the Leopold Ranges as some of the finest pastoral country he has ever. seen. ,News. of the despatch of crushing machinery to be landed at Wyndham "has been received and many fresh arrivals are to be expected ".shortly.
