The installation of officers of the Feilding Lodge, 194«, E.C., took place in theTorSsters' Halljast nigßt when the following were inducted to their several chairs: — Bro. W. Carthew* _W.M. ; Bro. 0. Pleasants, S.W. ; Bro. William Baileys LW. ; Bro, Edward Smith, S.D. ; Bro. Walter Bailey, J.D. ; Bro. Lambert, J.G. ; Bro. "Foster, Secretary ; Bro. Sterens, Treasurer ; Bro. 0, Bray, junr,, Tyler. Bro. J^eter Thomson, the| retiring W.M., wa,s installing officer,' and fulfilled the onerous duties of the position with marked, ability. The board of Fast Masters consisted of Bros. Bray, Kirtoia, Macarthur, P. Thomson, of the Feilding Lodge, Bro. Batt, of Manawatu Lodge, and Bro. Roberts, of the Buapehu Lodge, Marton. * Visiting brethren — J. 0. Thompson, 727, 5.0. ; P. Mangham, 1857, E.C. ; A: Roberta, 2137, W.M., E.C. ; A. R. Curtis and W. Light, 463, S.C. ; 0. Esam, 2137, E.C. ; Wm. Batt, P.M., 1724, E. 0 .; R. C. Logan, 95, J.C. ; C. H. Hoaking, 113, A.O. At ihm conclusion of the ceremony the brethren adjourned to the supper room,- when the usual Loyal andJMasonio toasts were given and drank with the customary honors and enthusiasm. The hall was then cleared for dancing, and at about nine o'clock the ball was opened with due form. Notwithstanding the heavy rain, and generally boisterous character of the weather the attendance was very good the room being somewhat crowded by the dancers occasionally. A most excel-, lent supper was provided, to which full justice was done. The whole of the arrangements from the beginning te the end were well and ably carried out by the managing committee, to whom every credit must be given for the success of the evening.
