STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.
Bulls, June 6. We held two capital sales last woek, a sheep sale at Morton on the 31st, ami a stock sale at Palmerston on June 2. There was a marked rise in wethers and lambs at both sales and we are glad to report a decided rise in all classes of cattle at Palmerstou. Our cattlo and sheep yards at Marton were completely filled with sheep, and we had very fair entries of cattle and sheep at Palmerston. We sold every pen of sheep at Marton excepting one, and nearly all the cattle and every pen of sheep excepting one, iA Palmerston. Cattle.— Palmereton : Fat bullocks, £5 16/-; fat cows, £3 15/-; forward bullooks, £4 7/6 ; 2-year steers, £2 12/6 to £3 2/- ; yearlings mixed, 25/- ; 18---month heifers, 30/- ; milkers, near calving, £3 \%l- to £4 ; in calf, 35/- to £3 8/-. Sheep.— Marton : Fat wethers, 9/10 ; dry ewes, 6/5 ; ewes in lamb, 6/3 ; wether lambs, 67 ; mixed sheep, 5/5 ; old ewes, 3/-. Palmerston : Fat wethers, 10/- ; fat sheep, 7/6 ; ewes in lamb, 6/4 ; shorn wether lambs, 6/11 ; woolly lambs, 4/5 to 5/11 ; shorn lambs, 4/3 ; old ewes, 4/1. Pigs.— Palmerston : 16/- to 19/6.
