GOVERNMENT LIFE INSUE ANCE DEPARTMENT. LOANS EEPAYABLE BY IN. STALMENTS. This Department is prepared tc make advances on Mortgage not exceeding one-half of the value of the property mortgaged in sums of Money from £100 to £3,000, repayable by half-yearly instalments extending over 12, 15, or 20 years on the following terms : — Half-yearly Payment for each £100. Period of Loan — £ s. d. Twelve Years . 6 4 7 Fifteen Years . . 5 8 9 Twenty Years . . 413 8 Loans of this nature, repayable by instalments whoreby principal and interest are both liquidated within a given time, and on terms of a most favourable character, present marked advantages to settlers and others. The borrower, any time before the expiry of the full period (but not sooner than four years after the commencement of tho loan), may redeem the same, with or without notice, on terms which can be ascertained at this office, or at any of the offices of this Department, where also forms of application can be obtained. This is the only office possessing Government Security and proffering the combined advantages of — Life Insurance with Profits Lowest Premiums Accumulated Funds of over one and a quarter millions. The Cash Surplus for the period ended 81st December, 1885, was £245,315, of which £150,000 was divided among the Policy-holders of the Department. D. M. LUCKIE, Commissioner.
