While a fally-ladeu coach was leaving Ladriotyeiterdayoneof the horses became fractious and the coach upset. Nearly SJO persons were injured, some very seriously. The schooner .-old, from Melbourne, sprang a leak daring a gale in Bass' Straits, last Sunday. The vessel being in a sinking condition, the crew took to the boats and reached Goose Island safely. The B. M.S. Shannon arrived in Mel> bourne last night, Among her pa*sen« gera is Admiral Fairfax, who succeeds Admiral Tryon an ohief in command of the Australian Naval Squadron. Daring his stay in Melbourne he Will be the guest of his Excellency Sir Henry Loch.
