The sheep dipped with, abjve are free from Ticks and Lice, and the Wool is in splendid condition. At j«ur request, J inspected, on the 23rd inst., the flock of Sheep belonging to Mrs.Mprse, which, were dipped, on the 15th June; in Tfiomas' Dip, under the special supervision of the Manufacturer, Mr Thomas, and at which dipping I was present r I ; harve mineh satisfactiou in informing you that at tlte last inspection I found the^ sheep quite Free from all Ticks or Lice,' and the Wool was Soft and Healthy; having rather an improved, appearance 'since dipping. Messrs Helmuth, Schwartz & Co., of London, say pf Wool consigned to them, to be especially reported upon, dipped in various compositions, and carefully re* ported ,'■ upon by their valuer, Mr R. Murton, that THOMAS' was found 'to be of " free, staple and sound, of good lustre and soft feel, and with little or no smell," while various other competing samples were variously described as "having a bad smell," harsh dried-up feel," strong chemical smell," " discolored" &c, while Thomas* Dip showed the Wool in the mo#t perfect condition, as soft and lustrous as silk, vide Inspector Fitzroy's report, a perfect copy of whiwh, and the Hawke's Bay report, can be obtained, post free, on application to Whitworth Russell, Wanganui.
