Sir Julius Yogel states tFint his bill re women's suffrages has been pr par d for two years, and that it proposes to give women full suffrage on the footing en» joyed by men. It vrill be introduced by Sir Julias Yogel and the Hon. Mr Ballance, but not as a Government measure. Auckland, This Day. A Temperance Deputation, lien led by Sir W. Fox, waited on the Premier to^ day, requesting him to say something in his address to-night on the subject of Temperance lesson books in schools. Sir W. Fox said he would also like to hear the Premier's views on the Woman Suffrage Bill. Sir Robert Stout said he voted for Women's Franchise in 1877, and Sir W. Fox remarked that he did the same. Wellington, This Day. Sentence was passed this morning on three prisoners, convicted yesterday of larceny. /In the cases of Wm. (Jrossley and Thos. Lawson, the Chief Justice said there was evidence of habitual criminality, particularly the former, who had spent the last eleven years of his life mostly in gaol. T]ie sentences were five years penal seryitude, and three years imprisonment respectively. The third prisoner, Eeubeu Hmd, described as a remittance man, gotftwelve months. The Judge, remarking his crime, said it was an instance of great ingratitude.
