' The Treasury returns of the revenue of the colony for the past quarter amounted to £1,804,306, an increase of £21,758 compared with the corresponding quarter last year. The Customs during the quarter increased £20,528, and railways increased £44,---867. The revenue for the year ended yesterday, and amounted to £6,682,---324, an increase of £332,675 as compared with the year ended March 31st, 1886. Chbistchubch, April 1. Sir Julius Yogel to-day received the inforaiation from the Secretary to the Treasury Department that the Customs revenue for the financial year is £120,800 under the estimate, and the beer duty £1500 under the estimate.
