STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK REPORT. We held two largo sales this week — at j Marton on the 22nd, when our yards were filled with all classes of sheep and a few hoad of cattlo. The bidding for the sheep was spirited throughout, and we sold thirteen pens under the hammer and the remainder after, excepting two pens ; at Bulls on the 24th inst., when wo offered, under instruction from G. Potts. Esq., Raumai, closo on 600 head of cattle (chiefly cows) and about 40 horses. Every head of cattle was quitted, and 24 horses. We also yarded for other vendors 900 sheep, all of which were sold at satisfactory prices, excepting a small pon of ewes. We quote : — ! Cattle. — Marton : Fat cows, £3 to £3 j 12s 6d ; milkers, £4; mixed 18-months, 1 29/6. Bulls : Fat cows, £3 to £3 2/6 ; forward cows, £2 17/6 ; cows with calves, £2 5/- ; store cows, 39/- ; steers, mixed ages, £2 13/- ; 2£-year heifers, 31/- to £2. Sheep. — Marton : Fat wethers, 6/10 ; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 6/3 to 6/10 ; 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 6/8 ; full-mouthed ewos, 4/2 to 5/5 ; old ewes, 2/- ; mixed sheep, 6/7 ; wooly lambs, 5/- ; shorn lambs, 3/~ to . 4/6. Bulls : Two and 4-tooth wethers, 6/4 to 6/6; 2-tooth wethers, 6/3; fullmouthed ewes, 4/4. Horsos — Bulls : Light draughts, broken, from £5 10/- to £20 ; unbroken, from 2 years upwards, £5 to £12 of- ; yearlings were mostly passed in, not reaching the figures in proportion..
