The sheep dipped with above are free from Ticks and Lice, and the Wool is m splendid condition. At your request, I inspected, on the 23rd inst., the flock of Sheep belonging to Mrs Morse, which were dipped, on the 15th June, in Thomas' Dip, under the special supervision of the Manufacturer, Vfr Thomas, and at which dipping I was present. I have much satisfactiou in informing you that at the last inspection I found the sheep quite Free from all Ticks or Lice, and _the Wool was Soft ind Healthy, having rather an improved appearance since dipping. WOOL IMPROVED Messrs Helmuth, Schwartz & Co., of London, snv of Wool consigned to them, to be especially reported upon, dipped m various compositions, and carefully re* ported upon by their valuer, Mr R-. Murton, that THOMAS' was found to be of "free, staple and sound, of good lustre and soft feel, arid with little or no smell," while various other competing samples were variously described as " having a bad smell," harsh dried«up feel," strong chemical smell." " discolored" &c, while Thomas' Dip showed the Wool in the most perfect condition, as soft and lustrous as silk, vide Inspector Fitzroy's report, a perfect copy of whiah, and the Haw-ke's Bay report, can be obtained, post free, on appli* cation to Whitworth Russell, Wanganui.
