George Thomas and Co report : - Oats are unchanged at Is lid for Jong, arid 2s Id for short samples, and the same remarks apply to oatmeal at £11; bran, £4 ; pollard, £4 10s ; maize. 3s 7d ; barley, 2s 9d ; potatoes, 60s to 69s ; onions. £8 ; cocksfoot grass seed, 4d ; rye grass, 3s 9d ; peas, 3s 6d ; factory hams and bacon, 7d ; cheese 5d ; fresh butter, 8d ; ■alt, 7d ; Sydney reports show a decline of 2d per Ib, being now quoted at 6£ to 7d ; eggs, firm at Is 3d. Considerable quantities of fruit have reached the market; Fiji shipments of bananas were landed in a worthless condition, being over ripe ; one line of over 200 bunches realised 4s the whole lot ; poultry continues to arrive in cenaiderable quanti* ties ; quototions show a slight decline ; fowls, 3s to 3s 6d ; ducks, 3s 6d< to 3s 9d; geese, 5s ; turkeys, 8s 6d.
