WEATHER REPORT.
Meteorological Report for the week ended Friday, March 4, 1887. The following table shows the readings of the barometer and rain guage at 9.30 a.m. on the days mentioned, and the maximum and minimum temperature during the preceding 24 hours : —
N.B.— The rain fall for February was I*4o inches, a third of which was registered on the last two days of the month. The extraodinary dry ness of the present summer is evidenced by the following returns of the rainfall for the months of December, January, and February in the present and four preceed>ng summers, viz. : — The summer of 1882-3 . . 11-39 inches. The summer of 1883-4 ... 12-49 inches. The summer of 1 884-5 . . 11 '56 inches. The summer of 1885-6 .. 7*34 inches. The summer of 1886-7 . . 3-20 inches. Raml. Goodbehebb. . Feildmjj, March 4, 1887.
