The claim they apply for is* a - mile in length and half a mile in width, and is situated about half way between Martin's: Bay and Milford Sound. The ground is near the sea aad of terrace formation, while specimen's of gold found there by them and submitted to the war-* den are of a coarse nature and mixed with quartz. They state that ' they can earn from £3 to £8 per work per man, and there is room in the vicinity for a couple of hundred miners.
