Sudden Death in Palmerston

A painfully sudden death occurred yesterday. The victim of this sad affair is Miss Mary Hay Willson Brodie, daughter of Mr Brodie, Grey street, who was alive and apparently well this morning, but at noon died at her father's house. Miss Brodie has lately been engaged as a dressmaker, privately visiting people at their residences, and, she was yesterday at her usual occupation, at a residence in the Square, where she appeared in her usual health. The deceased was 18 years of age,— Times.

(PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON. This Day. An inquest was held this morning. The medical evidence showed that deceased died from syncope, accelerated by fatty degeneration of the heart. Verdict— Death from natural causes.
