(PEE UNITED ERFSS ASSOCIATION ) CHKisrcHOBCH. January 7. This afternoon a deputation of the unemployed waited on Sir Robert Stout, who promised to see if work could be fouud for deserving men, but said that nothing would be dona for those who had wasted their earnings in drink. He considered that it was not the function of the General Government to find work for the unemployed, as that should be done by the local bodies Sir Robert Stout goes to Dunedin to-morrow. ,
