The Executive Council ha re decided . that the sentence of death shall be carried N oat on six of the prisoners who have been convicted of the Mount Rennie outrage. The execution will take place on Friday next. The matter of the Mount Rennie pri« soners sentenced to deafifc bow rest* solely with the Governor. Every effort is being; made to secure a repmeve. A deputation, consisting of Sir Henry Parkes, tl»© Kight Horn W. B, Dalley, Cardinal Moran, aud Bishop Barrf r waited on the Governor to-day, asking the reprieve of tW prisoners sentenced to death for the Mount Rennie outrage, on the ground that the execution would have a bad moral effect. Lord Carring(on declined to reverse the decision of Executive Council. Another deputation of 100 leading citizens wanted on the* Governor and urg«i the carsying out of: sentences.
