FIRBT DAY. The above meeting was poorly attended, about 600 persons being on the ground, but the racing was gerii erally interesting throughout. The | Tarious officials worked energetically and well, Mr McLean "being particularly fortunate in the onerous position of secretary. Music was supplied by the Makino Brass Band, and gave satisfaction. Mr J. Stevens wielded the flag in his usual good style. Mr E. Bellve, of Feilding, had the grand stand booth, and received good patronage on both days. Messrs Hill and Poole worked a totalisator on the ground, and put through £4000 during the two days.
