(PER UNITED PRI-8S ASSOCIATION ) Napieb This Day, At 10 o'clock this morning the most destructire fire which his ever »ccurred in Napier broke out in Banner and Liddies new warehouse in Tennyson street. Within ten minutes of the fire breaking oat the Daily Telegraph office was in rums and the warehouse of Banner and Liddles's was none. The insurances on the Telegraph office are only L2OOO. After Martin, the tailors was burnt, the fire seizad on the new law offices, erected by Seinsbury and Lugan ! The Herald oftce was destroyed. C. B. ! Hoadley and Co's wool stores were next |in flames. The Evening News office also ' caught fire. Altogether 20 buildings have gone, and though the wind has changed it is simply carrying destruction |in other directions. The damage done must be at least £40,000 and will prob- ! ably aggregate £60.000. The block was one of the best |in Napier, and it has all gone. Kinross and Co.'s office, Neal (photographer, )| and two or three others in Emerson street as well as Margo* liouth's nimtien'martj in Tennyson street, are in rains.
