General entries and acceptances close on Thursday, 13th January, 1887, at £ p.m. NO QUALIFICATION FEE ENQUIRED. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1 . No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition. — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be dicided by a majority of tbe Stewards present oi those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Foxton, with the name, age at the lime of entry, pedigree, name ef the owner, aud the colours of the rider. All entries and nominations must he in the hands oj the Secretary at the stated time and place as advertised, accompanied by the amount of nominations and en trance money, Post Marks will not be received under avi/ pretence whatever, and nominations unpaid at the time of the due date of weights, will be struck out of the list. 3. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distiugiushing colour must be worn. 4. Any jockey riding except in thecolours entered will be fined 3 soys. 6. All races to be run under the W.inganui J. C. Rules. 6. Horses walking over will only recede half the stakes. 7. All protests must be in writing, accompanied by a fee of 2 soys. 8. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are required to give written notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales, one half-hour before the time fixed for starting.
