To start at 11.30 a.m. 2. Hack Hurdle Race of 15 soys.— Post entrance, 1 soy. One mile and a distance, over four hurdles. Open to all horses that have never won public money of a stake not exceeding the value of £20 or been nominated for an advertised race of the same amount six months previous to date of meeting ; hack races excepted. Weights to be not under lOst. To start at 12.15 p.m. 3. FOXTON RAGING CLUB HANDICAP of 110 soys, second horse 10 soys from the Stakes. — Distance one milo and three quarters. Nomination 1 soy, accep* tance 4 soys. The winner of any Handicap to the value of 100 soys after the declaration of weights to carry 71bs extra. To start at 1 p.m. 4. Ladies' Bracelet, of 20 soys in plate or specie, at winner's option. Minimum weight, list. Entrance 30s. For horses that have never wen an advertised race of any description exceeding 30 soys in value. Horses to be nominated by ladies Gentleman riders, to be approved by the Stewards. Distance, one mile and a quarter. Eiders in colors. To start at 2 p.m. 5. Stewards' Stakes Handicap, of 65 soys. Second horse 5 soys from the stakes. Distance, a mile and a half. Nomination, 1 soy; acceptance 2 soys. , Winner of the F. R. C. Handicap to carry a penalty of 71b. To start at 2.45 p.m. 6. Hack Race, of 10 soys. Entrance, 1 sot. Distance once round the course Qualification same as in Hack Hurdle j Race. Weight to be not under Bst. To start at 3.30 p.m. 7. Flying Stakes Handicap, of 50 soys. Second horse three soys f rosi the stakes. , Distance three quarters of a mile. Nomi- ' nation, 1 soy; acceptance, 1 soy. To start at 4. p.m. 8. Forced Handicap, of 20 soys. Once round the course. Entrance, winning horses 1 soy, losing horses 10s. To start at 4.45 p.m. Nominations for the Hurdle, Foxton Racing Olub, Stewards Stakes, and Flying Handicaps will be reeeiyed addressed to the Seceetary, Foxton, up till Thursday, 16th December, at 9 p.m. Weights to be declared on Wednesday sth January. General entries and acceptances close on Thursday, 13th January, 1887, at 9 p.m. NO QUALIFICATION FEE REQUIRED. . RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition. — That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be dicided by a majority of the Stewards present or those whom they may appoint; Their decision upon all pointß connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Foxton, with the name, age at the time of entry, pedigree, name of the owner, and the colours of the rider. All entries and nominations must he in j the hands oj the Secretary at the stated time and place as advertised, accompanied by the amount of nominations and en trance money, Post Marks will not be received under any pretence whatever, and nominations unpaid at the time of the due date of weights, will be struck out of the list. 3. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distingiushing colour must be worn. 4. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 3 soys. 5. All races to be run under the Wanganui J. C. Rules. 6. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. 7. All protests must be m writing, accompanied by a fee of 2 soys. 8. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are required to give written notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the SGales, one half-hour before the time fixed for starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 3 soys to Race Fund. JOHN E. RUSSELL. Hon.
