The anti«rent agitation in Ireland is increasing daily, and numerous meetings were held yesterday in different parts of the country tor the purpose of discussing tbe question. Several preminent Irish members of Parliament, who were I present, delivered speeches, in which they advocated the non-payment of rents without proper a'sntement being made by the landlords. Serious rioting took place in Cork yesterday evening. The police charged the mob, wounding many of fie rioters. Pabis, December 4. The Ministry of de Preycinet bas been defeated on tbe Budget question, and have consequently resigned. Rangoon. December 4. Military operations in Upper Burmah are being actively pursued by the troops under the command of General Sir F. Roberts. The British columns in the various districts are defeating and pursuing the Dacoits at ail points. Ottawa, December 4. The Canadian Admiraity court ordered the confiscation of the American schooner Highland Light, seized on account of a breach of the fisheries laws.
