TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR Sir,— -Iu the Stab of yesterday is a letter by Contributor. Evidently not the first on the subject. It is, however, the first which came under ray notice, and as I- happen to be one. of the Awahuri Ploughing Match Cora-' mittee and had a good deal fc>.de with matters connected therewith, I have pleasure in giving an account of howmatters have been wound tip. At a meeting of the Committee, held at the Eudymian Hotel, Awahuri, on the 2ud day of February, 1886, it was proposed and carried unanimously that the surplus money to the credit of the Ploughing Match Committee be given in aid of the Presbyterian Church building; at Awahuri. — I am &c, Pkter Stewart.
