The first through passenger train to Baimerston from Wellington arrived here at 1.20, doing the journey in 4 hours $5 minutes, including stop* pages. There were close upon 600 passengers from Wellington, including the directors of the company and many leading citizens. A banquet was given by the Mayor and Corporation to the direotora.
