Messrs Laery and Campbell report : — Now potatoes at 7s per ewt j old potatoes 30s to 40s per ton • rhubarb, 6s 6d par dozen ; apples, 11« to 13*, with a bare market; onions, are scarce at £13 to £13 JOs; oranges, slow sale, at 8« ; mandarins, 12s ; lemons, overstocked, 7a; preserved bananas, 8d per lb, with a brisk demand ; peanuts, 3|d. At the auctions eggs brought 9i ; prime fresh butter in pats, 6%d to 8d ; salt butter, the season's prime, 5d ; lard, 6il ; cheese is scarce at 6£; honey, 3£d to sd; hams, best, 7d; inferior 5d to s|d. Fowls, 3s 6d ; ducks, 4s per pair ; turkeys, 4« 6d to ss ; and geese, 3s 6d to 4s each. Prime seed oats, 2s lOd ; barley, 2s 9d ; wheat 4s 6d to 4s 9d ; mnize, 3s 7d to 3s 9d ; chaff, oaten, from L 5 ; straw chaff, L 4 per ton, sacks returned ; flour, firstclass brands, Lll 10s to Ll2 ; oatmeal, Ll2 10s; pearl barley, LI S. The last Sydney consignments of fruit arrived in in indifferent condition. Johnsonvuxe, November 4. Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co. report : —Fat bullocks, £7 6s to £9 ; fat cows, £5 to £6 ; sheep, 10s and 10s lOd ; ewes and wethers (light weight), 8s 4d to 6s lOd, porkers 16s and 255, larger sorts 27s a&d 31s; unbroken light draught colts £14 to £18 10s ; -fillies £10 to £16.
