£SPECT_L TO EVENING POST.] The Attorney- General still declines to publish the result of the analysis on Captain Cain's budy, or to state whether any further action will be taken respecting it, but I am assured that as soon as the present case is concluded a charge of murder will be preferred against Hall,, and that the Magisterial inquiry will again take place at Timaru. A few days should now suffice to show whether my authority be reliable or not.
