STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.

Although there is a good demand for all classes of stock, the bidding was not quite so brisk at our Feilding sale yesterday, which was mainly to "be attributed to large entries of female stock among the cattle. The bidding at Marton on Tuesday was, however, brisk, and it was a very successful little sale. We could have sold far more stock than was yarded at Feilding. We had large entries of cattle, and a very fair phow of sheep. Some of the pons of the former we were unable to quit, but we sold all the sheep excepting one pen. Our quotations are as under: — Cattle.— Marton— 2-yr steers, £2 17/6; yr steers, £2 2/-; 2_-yr steers, £3 11/- ; yr and 18-mo heifers, 26/- ; cows, £2 3/6.
