Fencing Act 1881

This case was referred to in our issue of Tuesday, the 21st, as awaiting the decision of the R..M. at Rangaiora. The following result we extract from the Christchurch Press :— W. C. Nicholls v. B. Taaffe. Mr Spackman, for plaintiff, applied for an order directing the description of boundary fence to be erected by the parties, the former owning the White Rock run, the defendant some small sections adjoining. Acting on the suggest on of the Bench the parties agreed to a fence of iron standards and seven wires barbed wire on top and extra posts where required. This was made an order of the Court, the parties to pay half cost of tho fence, and costs of the case divided.
