Mangoane School Committee
A meeting of the above was held in the Schoolroom on Wednesday, the Bth, at 8 p.m. Present — Messrs WV G. Pearce (chairman), Gh Ashworth, ! W. Mexted, J. Mexted, and G. Shopherd. - The minutes of th« previous meeting were read and confirmed, CORRESPONDENCE. Letter from the Inspector, stating* that the examination will take place on September 20. Letter from the same, stating that it is impossible to postpone the examination as desired by the Teacher, owing to his (the Inspector's) time table being fixed. Only one tender was received for the boundary fence, that of Mr J, Menzie at 19s per chain. Proposed by Mr Ashworth, seconded by Mr Shepherd, That the tender of Mr J. Menzie be accepted.— Carried. Resolved, That the Chairman be appointed to pass the fence, and pay for the same as soon as it is finished according to specifications. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. .
