Curious Case Against an Auctioneer

[per united press association.] Dunedin, September 10. A peculiar case came before the Hesi* dent Magistrate. A person disposing of furniture claimed £50 damages from the auctioneer because he held the sale sooner than was announced. The advertisement gave six o'clock ns the hour bj mistake, and it was contended that the plaintiff's friends were kept from attending, and the goods sacrificed. The auctioneer was not responsible for the error, and damages for 50* were given.
