A traveller of the firm of Falk and Co., who arrived here, states he saw plenty of gold at Derby, one party alone having 280 ounces. He expresses liis belief that the present report is being spread to prevent a rush to KimlierW. The pop« lation at Derby, according to his statement, is now 4000.
