The American barque Frank Pendleton, from San Francisco, arrived at Queenstown, having on board the chief officer, named Alston or Olston, of the British, barque Avklow, who was rescued from an opeu boat in an insensible condition on the lbtb. of .Maj last, south, of tho Equator. The Arklow was in oollision on the Bth of May with an unknown vessel. After ike collision the captain, his wife and cliild, and ten of the crew took to the lifeboat at midnight, j-s the vessel was siaking. Mr Olstou at the same time went into a small punt alone. The boats parted company in the night, and Olstou was for eight days without food, save a few flying fish, and when fescued by the American vessel was in a state of unconsciousness. It iv feared those in the other boat have all been lost.
