The Timaru Poisoning Sensation
« The correspondent of the Lyttelton Times writes as follows concerning the | principals in the Timaru poisoning case — Hall is a man of medium height, of dark complexion, close cut hair, evidently wears no beard, with a military looking moustache, but his sharing had been apparently neglected for a while. His quick, keen eye, lent to his countenance a strange expression which I can only characterize as a hunted look, and it was very evident he felt his position keenly. The girl Houston is of dark complexion, with keen black eyes, though nut particularly good looking. In point of appearance, she was the best man of the two, for her restless, keen eye never quailed, and she showed not the slightest symptom of " funk."
