The Hew Hebrides Question
♦■ fSBVTBBS TBLBGBAKsI Mblbovbvb, August 18 In the Legislative Assembly last night, a formal resolution approving of the Budjet was voted. During the sitting, Gillies, Premier, made a statement to the effect that the Victorian Government deemed it unnecessary to ask the other colonies to renew their protest regarding the Now Hebrides. The colonists, he added, were agreed on the question of the influx of criminals, and the prevention of contamination therefrom.
