Mr Jehn Waddington's syndicate, which has undertaken the construction of a railway from Guilford to Geraldton Western Australia, propose to transfer the concessions received by them . for its construction to a company with a oapital of half a million, with the same directors as at present. It is probable that Mr Keane, of Perth, will, receive .the contract for the railway if his price does not exceed £3.500 per mile. Jarrah timber is, selling mp to 2s lid per feet. The reaeleotion of all Ministers is un« opposed with the exception of that of Mr Henry Matthews, Q.C., the Home Secretary.
