Two writs; issued at the instance of Sir Juliuft Yogel against the Evening Press in cennection with the District Bailways Debentures,, have been served. Damages are fixed at £1600 in each cane. ,• Eotobua, JulySO. Mr £. M. Cotton, of Lake Coleridge, Canterbury, who, with his wife, arrived here yesterday afternoon, and put up at tne Palace Hotel, has been missing since 5 o'olook last night. A dilligeat and efficient search was kept up all night, but no trace oeuld be found of hint.
