Bayley ? s : land, about a mile from Manaia, and burnt a quantity of flax. They were reported to have stated their intention of re- , turning shortly to plough Hawera. The police left behind at Mr Lysaght's report that ne natives returned on to the land since morning. liyroector , Pardy rode out te Manaia in^aprafter- - | noon. There is nothing to report, but the natives generally seem all astir.
