The wool sales close on the 17th. 213,000 bales have been catalogued for the BerieSj»from which 5,000 were withdrawn. : The prices of wool remain firm, and have reached the highest" point during the series. Coarse .'crossbreds 'have improved a halfpenny. Home buyers are ihcreasing. The advance is considered stable. At yesterday's wool sales 12-^SOO bales were offered, and 14,400 bales were submitted at auction to-day, prices being fairly maintained on both days. 'A The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile; • Ageuoy Gompauy have re-ceived-the folio wing cable message : — 4< London, Ist July, AW*>ol. — Coarse crossbreds have^ advanced M^d per lb. , The prestmt sales; close on the 17th inst., and the next comu^enee nn 7th September. Thk fifth series open ou the 23rd November."
